While you are paying for the food and the delivery service, there is a better and much less expensive way to follow a similar diet and achieve the same weight loss and fat burning results.

Glycemic indexes are simply numbers that are assigned to carbohydrate rich foods to denote the level to which they will increase your body's blood sugar levels when consumed. The higher the glycemic index number, the more slowly your blood sugar levels will spike after eating the food.

As a general rule of thumb, the faster the food can be digested, the lower the glycemic index will be. As I explain on my page dedicated to nutrients and nutrition, complex carbohydrates are digested more slowly than simple carbohydrates.

Therefore, foods that contain mostly simple carbohydrates will have a low glycemic index rating while foods containing mostly complex carbohydrates will have a relatively high glycemic index rating. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but this relation is true in most cases.
